SUSTAINABILITY

SUSTAINABILITY AT
DANNY REINKE

Sustainability is not a trend for us, but the core of our identity. As a label that combines couture and prêt-à-couture, we take responsibility – for our customers, our employees, our materials, and our environment. We believe that fashion must not only be beautiful, but also meaningful. Every piece that leaves our atelier not only tells an aesthetic story, but also embodies the ambition to be durable, resource-efficient, and future-proof.

ON-DEMAND
PRODUCTION

We produce exclusively to order – this completely avoids overproduction and inventory. Each garment is created specifically for one wearer and individually crafted in our atelier. This principle is our clear antithesis to fast fashion: no piece is created without a concrete need. Production only begins once an order is placed – consciously, transparently, and with resource conservation in mind.

PRECISE
CRAFTSMANSHIP

All pieces are designed and made in our Berlin studio. There, we combine traditional couture techniques with modern design standards. For us, longevity comes not only from the selection of high-quality materials, but above all from precise craftsmanship and meticulous workmanship. This results in unique pieces that remain timeless and can be worn for many years.

DEALING WITH
RESOURCES

We are one of the few couture labels that consistently works with deadstock materials. These high-quality remnants come from fabrics that would otherwise have gone unused. We breathe new life into them and transform them into unique pieces. In this way, we create one-of-a-kind designs that not only conserve resources but also tell stories of origin and rediscovery.

MATERIALS & RESPONSIBILITY

We select our fabrics according to strict criteria: quality, durability, and – where possible – existing certifications such as Oeko-Tex. In addition, we use recycled materials and make sure to support textile cycles through conscious material choices.

Circular Design Principles

Each piece is crafted to last for many years – timeless in design, high-quality in workmanship.

LONGEVITY

When selecting materials, we prefer mono-materials or clear material separations to enable recycling at the end of the product life.

RECYCLABILITY

Should anything change – be it the fit or minor damage – our pieces can be altered or repaired at any time in our atelier. This way, fashion becomes a companion, not a disposable product.

REPAIRABILITY

We repurpose fabric scraps, sample pieces, or old samples. No material goes unused.

UPCYCLING

RESPONSIBILITY
IN THE STUDIO

Our studio in Berlin is not only a production site, but also a laboratory for sustainability. Here we work with 100% green electricity, offset our CO₂ emissions, and prioritize short supply chains. Fair working conditions are a given for us – every piece is the result of genuine handcraft, created under transparent conditions.

CARE AS PART OF SUSTAINABILITY

Sustainability doesn't end with the purchase for us. We provide our customers with clear care instructions: wash less often, use cold water, air dry, and store correctly. This significantly extends the lifespan of each garment. We also offer advice and services should any questions arise regarding care or adjustments.
